Job summary

ORC is seeking a Remote Utilities Title Agent to conduct real estate title searches and prepare comprehensive title reports from home. You will review deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, and related records while coordinating with clients and landowners across the country.

The role requires accuracy, organization, and strong communication skills. Ideal candidates have title research experience and proficiency with MS Office; a smartphone is needed for ORC system access.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing titles and title reports.
• Experience verifying ownership, mortgages, liens, and judgments and determining title restrictions.
• Ability to clearly communicate parcel information to property owners.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Smartphone required to access ORC systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real estate title searches using online databases and in-person visits to county courthouses.
• Retrieve and review deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, tax cards, and plats.
• Compile accurate findings into Title Reports for clients, ensuring completeness and reliability of title information.
• Verify and document all relevant instruments to complete thorough title searches.
