Job summary

ORC is seeking a Remote-oriented Utilities Title Agent in Virginia to conduct title research and produce reliable title reports. You will access online databases and visit county courthouses as needed, review deeds, mortgages, contracts, and related documents, and ensure completeness and accuracy in client reports.

The role supports a flexible, travel-heavy schedule with opportunities for growth in the right of way field. Prior title research experience and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing titles and title reports.
• Experience verifying property ownerships, mortgages, liens, and judgments.
• Able to identify key information about parcels and communicate clearly to property owners.
• Proficient reading deeds, legal descriptions, plats, and easements; searching parcel data.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real estate title searches using online databases and in-person visits to county courthouses.
• Retrieve and review deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, tax cards, and plats.
• Compile accurate findings into client-provided Title Reports with complete title information.
• Verify and document all instruments required to complete thorough title searches.
