Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Technical Consultant (US Swine) to partner with customers, delivering technical expertise, market-leading solutions, and value-added support including analytics, diagnostics, and market access guidance.

The role involves close collaboration with account teams, leadership in technical topics, and leadership in research initiatives. Location is US remote with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Requires DVM degree and strong communication/analytical skills.
• Experience: minimum 5 years in the swine industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Marketing Support: collaborate with customers and account teams; identify opportunities to use Elanco products; participate in account planning; support training materials and product launches; deploy Elanco’s value at customer level.
• Customer and Technical Leadership: train Elanco personnel on disease and products; build relationships with customers and academics; deliver value beyond product; engage with industry organizations.
• Research and Innovation: conduct research with Elanco products; align with business needs; publish results in meetings/journals; assist with R&D requests and product extensions.
• Business Leadership: communicate within teams; identify opportunities/threats; influence long-range strategy; identify external talent for roles.
