ABB is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive corporate and regulatory advice for the United States. The role focuses on fiduciary duties, governance, compliance, and strategic legal matters including mergers and acquisitions.

You will work remotely and report to the MONM Division General Counsel, supporting rapid business growth while maintaining full regulatory alignment. Qualified candidates have extensive U.S.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Experience in multinational manufacturing environments or top-tier firms preferred.
• Proven ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities and corporate governance.
• Strong business-focused legal judgment with risk mitigation.
• Experience in data privacy, government contracting, licensing and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accountability for Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and compliance for all U.S. legal entities.
• Advise the U.S. Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, compliance, risk, and strategic legal matters including M&A.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory certifications.
• Provide counsel on contracts, commercial agreements, and shared legal entity matters; supervise paralegal staff and coordinate with global centers of excellence.
