Job summary
Moritz is a global AI-native law firm seeking a commercial counsel to join our commercial team as a core partner in shaping product and growth. You will lead commercial work and shape how we go-to-market.
You will own commercial legal work end-to-end, draft and negotiate MSAs, contracts, and NDAs, and build legal templates to support US product adoption and scalable workflows, partnering with the founding team to guide strategic US commercial and corporate matters as we scale.
Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience at a law firm or in-house.
- Expert in commercial law with deep experience drafting and negotiating contracts and MSAs.
- JD and active license to practice law in any US state.
- Interest in innovation, AI and legal tech; able to operate in a fast-paced startup.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial work and shape product strategy and GTM approach.
- Own end-to-end commercial legal work: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSAs, contracts, NDAs.
- Help build and refine US product from a legal perspective with templates and playbooks.

We're looking for a commercial counsel to be part of our commercial team - not just as legal counsel, but as a core partner in shaping our product and growth.
- Act as a lead for commercial work and shaping product strategy and go-to-market approach
- Own commercial legal work end to end: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSAs, commercial contracts, NDAs, and other core agreements when needed
- Build, test, and refine our US product from a legal perspective, evolving core templates and playbooks
- Partner with the founding team to design scalable legal workflows that drive product adoption and growth
- Provide strategic guidance on US commercial and corporate matters as we scale
- 4-8 years of experience at a law firm or in-house
- Expert in commercial law, with deep experience drafting and negotiating contracts and MSAs
- JD and active license to practice law in any state in the US
- Genuine interest in innovation, AI, and legal tech
