Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a Remote Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight, guidance, and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in accordance with laws, policies, and standards. You may supervise APPs at multiple centers and provide consults when not physically present at a center.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs; suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to APPs, including timely consultation and coverage support.
• Review and cosign APP documentation as required by law and policy.
• Provide clinical direction for escalation, evaluation, or changes to the plan of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities related to APP practice.
• Support APP practice within the supervision framework and credentialing requirements.
