Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a Remote Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight and APP support across centers. You will review cases, guide care plans, and ensure adherence to policies, laws, and standards.

The role involves supervising APPs during assigned coverage periods and cosigning documentation as required, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement.

Competenze

• Must physically reside in the state of South Carolina.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing by Prisma Health Urgent Care / WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.

• Provide clinical oversight and consultation to APPs during supervision or coverage periods.
• Review andCosign APP documentation when required by law or policy.
• Offer clinical guidance for escalation and changes to care plans.
• Support newly credentialed APPs during orientation or enhanced supervision.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities related to APP practice.
• Ensure APP practice compliance with supervision and prescriptive authority requirements.
