Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a Remote Supervising Physician to oversee Advanced Practice Providers across designated urgent care centers. The role requires SC residency, board eligibility or board certification, and active medical licensure in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Must physically reside in the state of South Carolina.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight, consultation and support to APPs in supervision and coverage periods.
• Offer clinical guidance and review cases requiring physician involvement (high-risk, abnormal findings, escalation).
• Cosign APP documentation as required by laws and policy.
• Support newly credentialed APPs during orientation and enhanced supervision periods.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities related to APP practice.
