Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care Remote Supervising Physician in South Carolina seeks a board-certified or eligible physician to provide remote clinical oversight and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), under SC law and Prisma Health policies. The role requires physically residing in South Carolina and active SC licensure.

This is a part-time, fully remote position with coverage of APPs across Prisma Health Urgent Care centers.

Qualifications

• Must physically reside in the state of South Carolina.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification; provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to APPs during assigned shifts.
• Offer clinical guidance and review cases requiring physician involvement.
• Cosign APP documentation as required by law and policy.
• Support newly credentialed APPs during orientation and supervision.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities.
