Job summary

Devoted Studios is seeking a Technical UI Designer who lives and breathes in Unreal Engine to implement UI features and animations from design handoff to shipped product. This is a remote, hands-on role with daily Unreal Engine work.

You will collaborate with UX designers, UI artists, and engineers to translate specs into polished UI, iterate on feedback, and optimize performance for live-service games.

Qualifications

• Professional experience implementing UI in a shipped game using Unreal Engine (UMG + Blueprints) or equivalent.
• Strong animation sensibility including timing, easing and motion hierarchy; able to build motion in-house.
• Experience with visual scripting (Blueprints, Lua) and data-driven UI approaches.

Responsibilities

• Build, implement, and polish UI features and systems using Unreal Engine, UMG, and Blueprints
• Own UI animation — motion design, transitions, reactive states, and feel — from concept through final implementation
• Collaborate with UX designers, UI artists, and engineers to bring features from spec to shipping
• Diagnose and resolve UI performance issues; reduce technical debt in existing systems
• Create and maintain reusable UI components and documentation for other designers
• Iterate rapidly based on leads and QA feedback to ship on a live-service cadence
