Strala is seeking a Recovery Specialist to manage uninsured and contractual recovery claims, including motor vehicle accidents and unreturned rental vehicles arising from rental agreements.

You will investigate bases for recovery, review documents, contact responsible parties, and negotiate settlements within your authority, while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with claims and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage uninsured and contractual recovery files from initial review through resolution.
• Review claim documents, rental agreements, liability information, and loss amounts to establish a basis for recovery.
• Locate and contact responsible parties, explain obligations, and address disputes professionally.
• Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements within your authority.
• Monitor payment plans, follow up on missed payments, and determine next steps.
• Identify files requiring further investigation or referral to collection or legal partners.
• Maintain accurate records of communications, negotiations, payments, and decisions.
• Collaborate with claims handlers, rental operations, and recovery teammates to confirm vehicle status and move files forward.
• Meet recovery, service, quality, and productivity goals per company policies.
• Share ideas to improve recovery processes and customer experience.
