Job summary

Flute is seeking an Underwriting Manager to identify, evaluate, and mitigate credit and financial risks for applicants and portfolio customers. You will work with Risk Management and Sales to identify trends and support growth, combining credit risk with financial analysis to guide sound decisions.

The role requires leadership of the credit risk team, policy enforcement, and collaboration across systems to ensure compliant underwriting processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit risk, underwriting, financial analysis, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Experience reviewing KYC and KYB documentation across risk levels.
• Strong ability to make risk-based decisions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate merchant applications using underwriting tools to identify credit, fraud, and reputational risk.
• Review customer information including financials, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and profitability to mitigate risk.
• Conduct financial analysis: ratio, trend, cash flow forecasting, break-even, scenario analysis.
• Assist in implementing risk management policies, procedures, and tools.
• Communicate risk assessments and mitigants to leadership and sales teams.
