Corebridge Financial is seeking a Director, Life Underwriting to lead complex medical and financial risk assessments for individual life insurance applications. You will balance client service with risk governance and collaborate with Case Managers and wholesalers to support sales.

Reporting to the Managing Underwriting Director, you will require 5+ years of underwriting experience, authority up to $7,000,000, and progress toward FLMI/FALU/CLU.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with large face amount cases.
• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace.
• Approval authority up to $7,000,000; designations pursued if possible.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal and informal applications within approval guidelines.
• Analyze information to reach medical and financial risk assessments.
• Manage change, negotiate positive results and resolve conflicts.
• Consider cross-functional impact of processes and decisions.
