Job summary

Admiral is offering a summer internship to learn underwriting and renewal servicing for development and retention of Admiral business during a 10-week program. You will train with team members, apply analytical skills to price renewal business, and participate in a collaborative project with interns from other Admiral departments.

This role supports a remote and/or hybrid in-person schedule throughout the summer and involves ad-hoc financial analyses to assist business partners.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management and Insurance or related field with GPA 3.0+.
• Rising Junior or Senior seeking practical work experience.
• Prior work experience preferred.
• Interest in Underwriting and Excess & Surplus Lines.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Train with key team members to learn underwriting and servicing renewal accounts for development and retention of Admiral business.
• Apply analytical skills to evaluate and price renewal business following underwriting guidelines and service standards.
• Participate in a collaborative group project with interns from other Admiral departments.
• Work independently on a remote and/or hybrid in-person schedule throughout the summer months.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support business partners.
• Complete other duties and assignments as part of the internship experience.
