Job summary

Admiral Insurance Group in New Jersey is offering a 10-week Underwriting Intern program designed to train in underwriting and renewal account servicing. Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance, or a related program/field preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 and above required.
• Rising Junior or Senior student preferred.
• Interest in enhancing classroom learning through practical career-related work experience within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting and servicing renewal accounts to support Admiral business.
• Analyze and price renewal business according to underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate on a group project with interns from other Admiral departments.
• Work independently on a remote and/or hybrid in-person schedule through the summer months.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business partners.
• Learn the evaluation and pricing of Admiral renewal business in accordance with service standards.
• Apply strong analytical skills in learning underwriting processes and renewal account servicing.
• Participate in a collaborative group project with interns from other Admiral departments.
• Work independently on a remote and/or hybrid in-person schedule throughout the summer months.
• Complete other duties and assignments as part of the internship experience.
