Job summary

Admiral Insurance Group invites applications for a 10-week Summer Underwriting Intern program in Austin, TX. You will learn the underwriting process, assist with renewal accounts, and develop analytical and pricing skills under supervision.

The internship offers a remote or hybrid schedule, exposure to Excess and Surplus Lines, and collaboration with experienced teams to support business growth this summer.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance.
• GPA of 3.0 and above.
• Rising Junior or Senior student preferred.
• Interest in underwriting and Excess and Surplus Lines.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Learn evaluation and pricing of renewal business in accordance with Admiral guidelines.
• Apply analytical skills in learning underwriting processes and renewal servicing.
• Participate in a collaborative group project with interns from other Admiral departments.
• Work independently on a remote and/or hybrid in-person schedule throughout the summer months.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business partners.
• Complete other duties and assignments as part of the internship experience.
