Job summary

First American's Agency Division is seeking a legally trained professional to provide underwriting support and guidance for title insurance commitments and settlement services.

The ideal candidate holds a Law Degree, is licensed to practice in the region, has 5-7 years title underwriting experience, and is proficient in real estate law and settlement processes. This role is remote within New Jersey with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Law degree preferred and licensed to practice law in the region.
• 5-7 years title underwriting experience.
• Real estate transactional experience.
• Familiar with real estate law and settlement processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support and authorization for title insurance commitments and policies.
• Underwriting guidance to personnel, agents, and customers within delegated authority.
• Issue underwriting standards in accordance with company processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
