Job summary

First American's Direct division seeks an attorney with a law degree and active license to practice in the state of employment to join our title underwriting team in the United States. You will provide underwriting support and guidance on real estate settlements and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Candidates should have 5–7 years in title underwriting, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a law degree and admission to practice in the state of employment.
• Minimum 5–7 years title underwriting experience in real estate.
• Strong understanding of real estate title and settlement processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support and authorization for title commitments and policies.
• Underwrite real estate transactions in accordance with company guidelines.
