Job summary

Risk Placement Services, Inc. is seeking an Underwriter to analyze Social Services/Human Services applications and manage high‑risk clients in a US remote role.

You will assess coverage and pricing while renewing policies, building relationships with retail and carrier contacts to drive profitable growth. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience, along with proficiency in Windows and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
• Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess insurance applications, evaluate risks, and determine the right coverage and pricing for Human Services accounts.
• Work with accounts in helping them make informed decisions and create tailored insurance solutions.
• Develop underwriting strategies, monitor team performance, and generate reports to track key metrics like policy performance and market trends.
• Build strong relationships with retail and carrier contacts which will be a key part of success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current within the industry.
