Jobgether is seeking an Underpayment Analyst for a remote position in the United States. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and interact with insurance carriers to recover appropriate revenue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement methodologies.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances due to coding or policy application errors.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and clarify decisions.
• Prepare and submit documentation to support recovery and adjustments.
• Maintain records of investigations, trends, and outcomes for audits.
• Interpret Medicare, Medicaid and commercial policy guidelines to support recovery actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex reimbursement issues.
• Participate in meetings to improve workflows and recovery strategies.
• Uphold confidentiality and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional duties to support revenue integrity operations.
