Jobgether is seeking an Underpayment Analyst for a fully remote US role. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and coordinate with insurance carriers to recover reimbursements. A comprehensive 90-business-day training program supports your success.

Formación

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify payment discrepancies and determine resolution strategies.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies and apply guidelines.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and CMS regulations and state requirements.
• Experience with healthcare billing systems or EHR platforms (Epic/Cerner/Meditech) is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and multi-application navigation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for thorough documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze hospital claims using established procedures and tools to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments by examining coding errors, billing discrepancies, and payer policy applications.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and clarify payment decisions for corrective actions.
• Prepare documentation to support reimbursement recovery, including letters, emails, and reports.
• Maintain detailed records of investigations, root causes, and outcomes for audits and knowledge sharing.
• Apply payer guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) to support accurate claim assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to resolve complex reimbursement issues and improve workflows.
• Participate in meetings to propose improvements to processes and recovery strategies.
