Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Underground Transmission Designer to join our Energy practice in a remote role based anywhere in the United States. You will lead design of utility-scale transmission and grid modernization projects, mentoring others and delivering technically excellent solutions.

In this role you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support client engagement, and help pursue new opportunities while maintaining strong safety, quality, and schedule performance across North America.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading transmission/substation design projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of transmission and distribution substation projects for utilities, renewables, and industrial clients.
• Provide technical guidance throughout planning, design, procurement, and construction phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Mentor engineers and designers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.
