Job summary

AECOM is seeking a U/G Transmission Designer to join our Energy practice in a remote role based anywhere in the United States. You will lead the design and delivery of underground transmission and grid modernization projects, collaborating with top engineering professionals.

You will support planning, conceptual and detailed design, studies, and construction, mentor teammates, and help strengthen client relationships while ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of experience in transmission/substation design.
• Experience leading engineering tasks and coordinating project teams.
• Familiarity with electrical power delivery and grid modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering tasks for transmission and distribution substation projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Support client engagement, design reviews, and technical documentation.
