Job summary

Esaote North America is seeking an Ultrasound Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Esaote ultrasound equipment across the Pacific Northwest. This home-based position requires extensive travel and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service quality.

The role involves collaboration with Technical Support, Sales, Applications, and other teams, supporting demonstrations and installed-base programs while meeting service targets and ensuring timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or related field, or equivalent military training and experience.
• Fundamental understanding of electronic technology, electrical systems, and troubleshooting theory.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment: oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, multimeters, and soldering equipment.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and perform routine repairs independently.
• Strong customer-service, communication, organization and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest including overnight travel.
• Ability to work independently from a home-based location within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Own field service and technical operations within the assigned territory (85%).
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional, responsive service.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair ultrasound equipment per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Acknowledge dispatches within 15 minutes and schedule service within 24 hours.
• Meet targets for response-time, service-call completion, productivity and utilization.
• Perform preventive maintenance within 45 days of target date.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with Technical Support for resolution.
• Provide test equipment maintenance and calibration follow-up.
