Job summary

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) seeks a TSDS Product Owner within the Office of Information Technology to guide data collections and TSDS initiatives for Texas public schools. The role emphasizes turning stakeholder needs into actionable product goals, maintaining the roadmap, and aligning with state reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience: At least four years of experience in systems analysis and design.
• Substitutions: Education and experience may substitute for one another on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferred: CSPO certification and knowledge of TSDS/Ed-Fi data standards.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Systems Analysis: coordinates with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Data Analysis: understands TEDS and oversees TSDS data submissions for accuracy and timeliness.
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: owns strategy and roadmap for TSDS products; maintains business plan.
• Communication: prepares training materials and governance proposals; conducts stakeholder presentations.
• Technical Support: provides tier 3 support via TIMS and participates in UAT.
