Job summary

The Texas Education Agency is seeking a Data Strategy and Business Intelligence Lead within the Office of Governance. You will own enterprise analytics, translate program questions into dashboards and reports, and guide data governance and reporting standards across Texas school systems.

You will collaborate with leaders to deliver scalable BI solutions, improve decision support, and advance governance and accountability with a focus on safe, high‑quality education outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least 3 years of experience in research, data analytics, or business intelligence.
• Advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads design, development, and improvement of dashboards and reports addressing leadership needs.
• Partners with program staff to translate requirements into product specifications.
• Develops standards for data modeling, reporting, and definition governance.
• Provides guidance on reporting, metrics, and data interpretation for decision‑making.
• Identifies opportunities to automate data collection and analytics processes.
