Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Triage Nurse (Remote) to perform care coordination and triage nursing functions. You will assess patient health concerns using protocols and support triage via calls and patient portal messages.

Responsibilities include documenting assessments, coordinating same-day and future appointments, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Must have knowledge of disease processes, normal growth and development of all age groups required.
• Nursing assessment skills with/without visual inspection utilizing basic nursing theory required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses patient’s health care needs using established triage protocols.
• Participates in weekly huddles to review KPI and ensure KPI-aligned workflows.
• Obtains input from providers to determine best clinical actions.
