Hummingbird Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Triage Nurse for our remote outpatient center. You’ll deliver telephone triage using Epic’s Nurse Triage module, assess symptoms, determine urgency, and guide patients to appropriate care with clinician-designed protocols.

You will work from a home-based location across the United States, handling back-to-back calls with HIPAA-compliant practices, ongoing training, and performance feedback to grow in a supportive team environment.

Qualificações

• RN license in North Carolina or compact license depending on state requirements.
• 1+ years outpatient telephone triage experience or 3+ years clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate medical information clearly.
• Ability to work in a remote contact center with back-to-back calls and meet performance metrics.

Responsabilidades

• Provide telephone triage with Epic’s Nurse Triage module and ask focused questions to assess symptoms.
• Verify and update patient information while protecting privacy and coordinating with clinics.
• Document calls in real time in the EHR and navigate charts using Epic and related tools.
• Handle emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism while guiding patients to next steps.
• Participate in ongoing training and contribute to workflow and protocol improvements.
