Job summary

Lantech, the world leader in stretch wrapping technology, seeks a Remote Traveling Field Service Technician. Based near Louisville, KY, you’ll travel up to 75% nationwide to install, service, and repair packaging equipment, train customers, and support operations.

You’ll work hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, PLC logic, and provide phone support when not traveling. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in field service, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in field service or equipment maintenance
• Experience reading mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics preferred
• Experience with packaging equipment preferred
• Technical schooling in electricity/electronics or equipment maintenance (2+ years) preferred

Responsibilities

• Support customers across the United States through on-site service and support
• Perform equipment start-ups, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance
• Coordinate information between customers and internal Lantech teams to resolve issues
• Provide technical phone support when not traveling
• Perform quality control inspections of equipment prior to shipment
• Travel up to 75%, with a comprehensive up to 6-month training program based in Louisville, KY
