Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site coordination for large-scale engineered bus duct installation projects across North America. You will ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating with customers, subcontractors, field technicians, and project managers.

This remote position requires up to 75% overnight travel, extended stays at customer sites, and the ability to read drawings and manage field documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading or coordinating field-based project activities at customer sites.
• Experience coordinating schedule, subcontractors, and client communication.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project documentation.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and timekeeping processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% overnight across the country.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative for large-scale engineered bus duct installation projects.
• Coordinate daily project activities with customers, subcontractors, field technicians, Project Managers, and internal support teams.
• Lead project site coordination and customer progress meetings while maintaining communication regarding schedules, risks, and issues.
• Monitor project schedules, workforce, equipment, material readiness, and progress throughout execution.
• Review drawings, project documentation, and scope to support delivery and customer experience.
• Make sound field decisions balancing safety, schedule, costs, and commitments.
• Complete daily reports, project documentation, timekeeping records, and status updates.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on all sites.
