Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site coordination for large-scale bus duct system installations and related field projects across North America. You will manage daily activities, collaborate with customers and subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality at multiple sites.

The role requires travel up to 75% and extended stays at customer locations, with strong emphasis on communication, documentation, and problem solving in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading or coordinating field-based project activities at customer sites.
• Experience coordinating at client locations, including schedule coordination and progress reporting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced field environment.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 75% across the country.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative for large-scale engineered bus duct system installation projects.
• Coordinate daily project activities with customers, subcontractors, Field Service Technicians, Project Managers, and internal teams.
• Lead project site coordination and customer progress meetings with regular communication on schedules, risks and issue resolution.
• Monitor project schedules, workforce requirements, equipment availability, material readiness, and progress.
• Review drawings and project documentation to support delivery and customer experience.
• Make sound field decisions balancing safety, schedule, commitments, and costs.
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping records, and status updates.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement at all sites.
