Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site coordination for large-scale bus duct installation projects across North America. This remote role requires up to 75% overnight travel and extended stays at customer sites.

You'll coordinate customers, subcontractors, field technicians, and project managers, review drawings, monitor schedules and safety, and ensure successful project delivery in the field. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading or coordinating field-based project activities at customer sites.
• Experience coordinating project execution at client locations including schedule coordination and reporting.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills for fast-paced field environments.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project documentation.
• Understanding of OSHA requirements and field safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 75% across the country.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site representative for large-scale engineered bus duct system installation projects.
• Coordinate daily project activities with customers, subcontractors, Field Service Technicians, Project Managers, and internal teams.
• Lead project site coordination and customer progress meetings, maintaining schedule visibility and issue resolution.
• Monitor schedules, workforce, equipment, materials, and progress throughout execution.
• Review drawings and project documentation to support delivery and customer experience.
• Make field decisions balancing safety, schedule, and costs.
• Complete daily reports and timekeeping records and maintain project records.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on sites.
