Ryan Specialty, LLC is seeking a Transportation Renewal Underwriter / Account Executive to join the Transportation team in Denver, CO. The role underwrites and manages a renewal portfolio, builds broker relationships, and drives profitable growth.

You will collaborate with senior underwriters and program managers, review renewals and endorsements, and ensure service excellence while navigating carrier guidelines and regulatory standards. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience, including at least 3 years focused on transportation, trucking, or commercial auto risks.
• Experience underwriting renewal business and managing broker relationships within wholesale channels.
• Knowledge of transportation risk exposures (non-admitted auto, fleet, trucking, hazmat).

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a transportation renewal portfolio balancing profitability, retention, and service objectives.
• Review renewals, endorsements, loss history, and account performance to determine coverage terms and pricing.
• Analyze transportation risks including trucking, fleet, and commercial auto exposures.
• Manage an assigned book of business and support portfolio initiatives.
• Negotiate renewal terms and pricing while maintaining broker relationships.
• Collaborate with brokers to retain profitable business and identify growth opportunities.
