Qualifications

• Eight years of full-time or equivalent experience in purchasing, law enforcement, investigations, safety inspection, weights and measures, transportation or related fields.
• Substitution: coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor inspectors, assign investigations and develop staff.
• Conduct complex, high-priority inspections and investigations with analysis of findings.
• Provide remote leadership and coordination across the multi-county service area.
• Evaluate inspection procedures and recommend improvements for consistency and efficiency.
• Provide regulatory guidance and verify compliance with licensing, safety and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and assist staff with report preparation.
• Travel for on-site inspections and investigations; valid driver’s license required.
