Job summary

Verdantas LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering design activities for power delivery projects. This remote role offers preferred locations in San Diego, Houston or Denver and involves coordinating with clients, selling new work, and managing budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in electric distribution engineering, a PE license (preferred) or PMP, and proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS or CYME, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in electric distribution engineering, preferably with utilities or consulting firms.
• 4–5 years of project management experience or lead engineer on a project.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• PMP certification a plus.
• Experience with major Investor‑Owned Utilities in the United States.
• Proficiency in distribution modeling tools like AutoCAD, GIS, CYME; strong utility design standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor engineering design activities.
• Coordinate with the client and sell new work; draft proposals and change orders.
• Serve as primary point of contact for project responsibilities.
• Manage internal personnel and provide technical guidance on schedule, budget and scope.
• Engage in engineering tasks such as calculations, modeling, and design for power delivery systems.
• Direct internal and external meetings related to project scope and schedule.
