Job summary

Camus Energy is seeking an experienced Transmission Planning and Modeling Engineer to join the Product Team in a fully remote role with optional Bay Area office access. You will lead modeling studies, integrate utility data, and help define the interconnection planning product roadmap.

Candidates bring 7+ years in the utility sector, advanced degrees in power systems or EE, and proficiency with AC power flow tools (PSS/E, PSLF) and production cost models.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in the utility industry focusing on transmission interconnections and planning analyses.
• Master's or PhD in power systems or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AC power flow simulations and contingency analyses (PSS/E, TARA, PSLF).
• Experience with production cost models (PROBE, PLEXOS, SAInt).
• SQL and/or Python scripting for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling and analyses to evaluate data center/large load sites for flexible interconnections.
• Contribute to product roadmap for flexible interconnection planning and operations.
• Engage with data center and utility customers to evaluate and implement flexible interconnections.
• Integrate utility data sets and time series data into the Camus platform for analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Success to incorporate transmission models and GIS data.
