Job summary
Key Capture Energy seeks a Transmission Analyst to support active development portfolios with power flow modeling, production cost analyses, and other analytical tools. You will help optimize interconnection costs for new projects across Houston, Albany, NYC, or remote locations and contribute to market performance for the operating portfolio.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, experience with PSSE/PowerWorld/PROMOD/Dayzer, and proficiency in Python, SQL, and MS
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- Experience with power flow and production cost modeling tools (e.g., Siemens PSSE, PowerWorld Simulator, PROMOD, Dayzer).
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Scope, run and automate studies using power flow models and other tools in support of key decision points for new and existing BESS development projects.
- Assist with scoping and interpretation of third-party power flow and production cost studies.
- Produce internal memos and presentations on transmission upgrade costs associated with existing development projects.
- Executive production cost model studies to support market theses, commercial opportunities, and price forecasting.
- Identify and implement improvements to short-term price forecasts.
- Build and maintain internal work aids and automation to assist with above responsibilities.
- All other duties as required.
