Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Safety Security Specialist to lead project tasks across the United States, applying risk management processes from FTA and industry standards from APTA. The ideal candidate excels at organization, self-starting, and guiding multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results with minimal oversight.

Key tasks include developing PHAs/TVAs, conducting workshops, and managing SSC documentation, PTASP development, and training for clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP and/or TSSP)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Ability to pass MVR check.
• Possess or Ability to attain U.S. Security Clearance
• FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification
• CPTED Design Standards
• ADA Design Standards
• NFPA 130 Design Standards
• Safety & Security Certification Processes
• APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards
• PTASP Development and Annual Review Process
• Safety & Security Certification Documentation
• Safety & Security Design Review
• Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments

Responsibilities

• Development of PHAs/TVAs and mitigations.
• Holding workshops with multi-disciplinary groups/committees
• CEL/CIL Development
• Development of DCCCs/CSCCs
• Direct interaction with agency clients and project managers
• SSC document and report preparation
• PTASP development, annual reviews, and updates
• SSC training for internal and external clients
