Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Region 1 is seeking a full-time Training Coordinator – Fire to organize training schedules, coordinate with host agencies, and arrange instructor travel. The role also contributes to curriculum development and recruits adjunct instructors under supervision of the Regional Training Manager.

The ideal candidate will reside in Region 1 (Texas) and hold a Bachelor's degree with experience in emergency/public safety training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience in project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Certified NFPA 1041 Instructor 1 or equivalent.
• Completion of IC S-100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training schedules and delivery.
• Collaborate with host agency points of contact.
• Arrange travel for wage instructors.
• Market and sell training courses.
• Serve as SME in curriculum development; recruit adjunct instructors.
• Monitor instructor performance; support special events and projects.
