Job summary

TEEX Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service in Region 1 seeks a Training Coordinator to organize training programs, schedule classes, and coordinate with host agency contacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience in project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Certified NFPA 1041 Instructor 1 or equivalent.
• Completion of ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 within 6 months of hire date.
• Equivalency: Will consider an associate’s degree with four years of project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services or a High School Diploma/GED with six years of project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates training schedules and delivery for TEEX regional programs.
• Collaborates with host agency points of contact and arranges travel for wage instructors.
• Markets and sells training courses to host agencies.
• Recruits adjunct instructors and monitors instructor performance.
• Assists with special events and projects and supports agencies during state emergencies as directed.
