Job summary

The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Region 1 is seeking a Region 1 Training Coordinator - Fire Agency to coordinate training schedules, deliver courses, and support partner agencies in Texas Region 1 from College Station.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, recruiting instructors, arranging travel for wage instructors, marketing courses, and contributing to state emergency response initiatives with TDEM and TIFMAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience in project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Certified NFPA 1041 Instructor 1 or equivalent.
• Completion of IC C 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 within 6 months of hire date.
• Equivalency: Will consider an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.
• High School Diploma/GED with six years of project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training schedules and delivery, and collaborate with host agency points of contact.
• Arrange travel for wage instructors and market/sell training courses.
• Serve as subject matter specialist in curriculum development and recruit adjunct instructors.
• Monitor instructor performance and support special events and projects as assigned.
• Assist other agencies, including TDEM and TIFMAS, during state emergencies as directed.
