Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director, Technical Program Management to lead multi-year, high-impact initiatives within Finance Technology. You will shape TPM maturity, drive platform convergence, and align technical choices with business goals across large, cross-functional teams.

You will mentor teams, influence senior stakeholders, and own program delivery strategies that balance speed, cost, and resiliency while advancing Capital One’s technology roadmap.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
Experience in distributed computing or SOA architectures preferred.
3+ years of building distributed systems and cloud-based services (AWS preferred).
3+ years in Agile delivery and large-scale program management.
Experience in regulated environments and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Define and drive TPM/delivery strategy across portfolios.
Develop program roadmaps aligned to business objectives and technical solutions.
Lead cross-platform investment planning and ensure architectural alignment.
Serve as executive escalation point for program risks and tradeoffs.
Drive measurable outcomes for platform performance and cost efficiency.
