Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager to lead remote-to-local fulfillment center construction programs, coordinating with Real Estate, Operations, Design, Launch and Startup teams. 60% travel required, with potential base from multiple U.S. facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Experience as Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager/Development Manager or similar.
3+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the RFP process and vet contractor proposals, assemble bid submissions and select design-build contractors.
Coordinate with designers, building teams, and cost estimators to establish budget, scope and schedule.
Assist in obtaining information and decisions needed from Amazon to complete construction drawings.
Manage approvals and permissions from building landlords and authorities.
Act as primary Amazon representative on permitting and coordinate with internal teams (IT, Safety, Operations).
Schedule audits, monitor site progress, and track milestones on behalf of Amazon.
