Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Remote to Local Construction Manager to lead large-scale fulfillment center design from concept through hand-off to Operations. You will coordinate Real Estate, Operations, Design, Launch, Startup, and Delivery Experience teams to ensure timely, on-budget execution.

The role requires a strong background in engineering, planning, program management, and contract administration, with up to 60% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RFP process and vet contractor proposals; assemble bid submissions and select design-build contractors.
• Coordinate with designers, cost estimators, and building teams to establish budget, scope, and schedule.
• Obtain information and decisions needed from Amazon to complete construction drawings and approvals from landlords.
• Monitor site progress, manage approvals with authorities, and act as primary Amazon representative in permitting.
• Develop capital appropriation requests and manage budgets; conduct periodic site visits and coordinate turnover with stakeholders.
