Qualifications

• 3+ years in title abstracting, searching, and examination.
• Knowledge and experience using the NC Odyssey Portal.
• Typing is a requirement.
• MS Office and Internet skills are required.
• Preferred: foreclosure or real estate closing title examiner/abstractor experience.

Responsibilities

• Search the public records and examine title to determine the legal condition of the property.
• Determine the tax status of the real property.
• Examine deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, vital statistics, and plats to verify ownership and encumbrances.
• Identify proper parties to be named in foreclosure actions.
• Summarize the legal condition of the property and advise the client.
• Data entry of examination results into the company system.
• Meet daily required quota.
