Job summary

Mortgage Connect, LP is seeking a Title Examiner to work remotely and independently in a fast-paced environment. You will search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of residential properties.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and timely delivery of title commitments. Required include 5+ years of title search experience with refinance/resale and California experience, along with strong customer service and typing (55 WPM).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5+ years experience searching and examining titles, with refinance and resale transactions.
• California experience required.
• Strong customer service focus and accurate typing.

Responsibilities

• Perform title examination and chain of title review for residential orders.
• Abstract and analyze mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital records, and plats.
• Resolve missing or contradictory information and prepare initial title commitments.
• Prepare and review reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Copy or summarize recorded documents affecting title.
