Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking an experienced Legal & Title Analyst to support utility-scale renewable energy projects through title review, survey review, and curative actions.

You will work with Development, Land, Legal, and Finance teams, and engage with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and stakeholders to ensure site control documentation and title policies meet investor requirements. The role requires reviewing title commitments, ALTA surveys, easements, and related land documents,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Land Management, Business, Engineering, Legal Studies, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience reviewing title commitments, policies, and land documents.
• Experience coordinating with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and outside consultants.
• Strong analytical skills to assess title exceptions and curative solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review title commitments, proformas, site deeds, and related land documents.
• Maintain Title Review Excel Spreadsheet with vesting, title exceptions, and easement data.
• Prepare Title Status Reports summarizing findings, risks, and financing implications.
• Coordinate with title companies and provide redline comments to secure acceptable policies.
• Review ALTA/NSPS surveys for investor compliance.
• Evaluate easements and rights of way for constructability impact.
• Coordinate title curative actions with landowners, utilities, lenders, and stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and provide bi-weekly status updates.
