Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Lead Threat Intelligence Engineer to define and scale an enterprise threat intelligence function. This remote-US role partners with security, detection engineering, incident response, and vendor management to translate threat activity into actionable guidance for technical teams and executives.

You will own the intelligence strategy, improve tracking capabilities, and measure impact on detection coverage and incident response times while mentoring junior analysts and shaping

Qualifications

• 5+ years in threat intelligence or a closely related field with demonstrable original research.
• Experience establishing or scaling a security function from the ground up.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Ruby or Python for automation tasks.
• Fluency with MITRE ATT&CK and structured analytic techniques for threat analysis.
• Proven ability to improve tracking methodologies and processes.
• Strong communication skills for briefing both technical teams and executives.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain priority intelligence requirements across multiple teams.
• Establish the threat intelligence platform as the primary system for tracking adversaries.
• Shape vendor purchases and tooling based on evolving intelligence needs.
• Measure the impact of intelligence on detection coverage and incident response times.
• Track external threat actors and produce intelligence at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
• Analyze fraud patterns and insider threats to inform anti-abuse functions.
• Manage relationships with threat intelligence feed vendors and participate in industry intelligence-sharing groups.
