Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Lead Threat Intelligence Engineer to define and scale an enterprise threat intelligence function. This remote-US role partners with security, detection engineering, incident response, and vendor management to translate threat activity into actionable guidance for technical teams and executives.

You will own the intelligence strategy, improve tracking capabilities, and measure impact on detection coverage and incident response times while mentoring junior analysts and shaping

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in threat intelligence or a closely related field with demonstrable original research.
  • Experience establishing or scaling a security function from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Ruby or Python for automation tasks.
  • Fluency with MITRE ATT&CK and structured analytic techniques for threat analysis.
  • Proven ability to improve tracking methodologies and processes.
  • Strong communication skills for briefing both technical teams and executives.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Threat Intelligence Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will help define and scale a mature threat intelligence function that informs detection, incident response, and anti-abuse efforts across the organization. You will own the intelligence strategy, strengthen internal tracking capabilities, and partner closely with security, detection engineering, incident response, and vendor management teams. The position also requires translating threat activity into actionable guidance for technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $157,300 – $212,800 annually
