Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to drive analytical modeling for systems engineering. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 8–10 years of experience; MS/PhD may satisfy part of experience.
• Deep knowledge of thermal fluid sciences and of VCS/LCS/ACS systems.
• Experience with modeling, verification, validation, and system architecture development.
• Familiar with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 environmental tests.
• CAD experience in NX and scripting in MATLAB/Simulink or Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead modeling and analysis efforts; develop system architecture to meet requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering groups; manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Oversee program modeling, analysis, and testing development; ensure requirements traceability.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specs for internal groups and suppliers.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers during design development; review documentation for transition to production.
